How to know EN60950-1 differs from IEC60601-1

 

The major differences between EN60950-1( I.T.E) &IEC60601-1(Medical) is due to the standards for equipment used in the patient vicinity, and those of IEC60601-1 with respect to increased air clearance, creepage distances and test voltages are also greater than EN60950-1 as shown in following tables. In addition, the allowable leakage current is also different.
